I gotta say as someone who was posting like this a few months ago, my estimation of what role the DSA can meaningfully play in electoral politics has risen a lot in a short period of time
me 7 months ago I don't disagree with people saying you should join the DSA, I just think people are overstating how much it's an electoral politics organization me 8 months ago I know people will say the DSA and I am a member but candidly I don't think the org is positioned to play an overall "Dem Tea Party" role at this time

@willieburnleyjr.bsky.social, too, was always against this. I only joined @ifnotnowboston.bsky.social in November 2023; he’d been involved for years. He’s always been a real one, and for that he too has faced unfair attacks. Somerville, you should make him your mayor. (Also vote yes on 3)
