Howard has gone too far. His comments about Albanese tear us apart
Slagging off the man entrusted with trying to steer the nation through this powerfully difficult moment will not help John Howard’s side of politics.

90% of Americans still fully vaccinate their kids but the media makes it seem like a 50-50 issue
anti-vax is one the most toxic political positions in america but it hasn't usually been covered like that because one segment of the population where it *is* somewhat popular is among business and media elites.

Trump has been given $175 billion in extra funding for ICE, which he is developing into a secret, private army, dedicated to removing his perceived enemies from view. It's not subtle and nobody should pretend to be surprised when they start snatching people on no basis whatsoever.

It’s such dark times at ANU
Really tough week in the ANU college of arts & social sciences. Committed, respected & highly impactful staff have been told their jobs are no longer & about 30 ppl are facing forced redundancy. It’s come as a complete shock to identified individuals. No consultation, no warning.

Self-deportation isn’t a thing. ICE forced this Hawaiʻi resident to leave the country.

He’s lived in the US for nearly 50 years, served in the military, received a Purple Heart for being shot in combat, but is being forced to leave for a drug offense.

Senator Ted Cruz posted a dramatic video of LAPD cars on fire with the caption “this… is… not… peaceful.” What he didn’t mention? The footage was from 2020, not 2025. His post on X falsely implied it was current, part of a broader effort to spread lies and manufacture a crisis.

The future is just an overworked minimum wage worker being screamed at by customers because the machines don't work, forever
Self checkout at my local supermarket now has an electronic barrier gate installed. So the single member of staff who has to run back and forth between all the machines approving paracetamol, beer, etc as well as things that won't scan, now has to let people through that too. What a shit future.
Walmart is testing robotic security in its parking lots. The company says they are currently just “trying out” the technology.

Not entirely fair to say Liberals don't know what they stand for. A few things that unite the factions:
- more wealth for the wealthy
- punching down on the poor
- private schools
- the right to be corrupt
- unquestioning fealty to the US and Israel
- white privilege
- what global heating? #auspol

What an insight to hear Falinski admitting that the Liberals worked to turn climate change into an economic issue rather than moral issue. So, what you’re saying Falinski is that Liberals immorally ran fear campaigns lying to people that climate costs too much to fix? Explains your electoral mess.
