My favorite genderless term of endearment is “sport” *finger guns* “pew pew”. It has to come with finger guns and “pew pew” sounds though. That’s a must.

Cassandra complex and autistic pattern seeking has to be one of the worst effects of a so called 'superpower'.

'This bad thing is going to happen if we don't account for it'
'What ? That's ridiculous, you are stating something will happen that is hard to predict'
[Thing happens]

Can't gloat here.

The neurotypical world didn’t make sense to me until I realized that society treats the person who points out the problem as the problem, not the person who caused it. #actuallyautistic #autistic

Unmasking isn’t about never masking again - it’s not about performing autism - it’s about finding ways to live more authentically.

Masking is a survival tool, not a failure.

Unmasking means creating moments where your outward self aligns with your inner truth, even in small ways.

Advocating for yourself as an autistic person is no easy feat.

It’s hard work and a spoon taker. It isn’t always successful, but you aren’t a “failure”.

Self-Advocacy is about speaking up, not only the outcome.

Raising your voice in the face of oppression is worthy.

"You're not like my 8 year old autistic son!"

Many things are out of kids control - uncomfy clothes, loud noises, food, confusing rules.

As an adult, I make my own choices. I wear, eat and do what I like, if I don't, I get overloaded.

That's why I don't remind you of your 8 year old autistic son.
