Introducing Design OS—the missing design process between your idea and your codebase.

Step 1: Define your product's vision
Step 2: Design your screens

Nice discussion on @mostlytechnical.com about how @aaronfrancis.com and @ianlandsman.com are using AI in their programming:

Wow! Software was not cheap in 1986.

These titles would have been $118 - $237 in today’s dollars.

Humans are paying less attention to stuff in the business. For example, AI can automate customer support.

The problem: when you outsource it to AI, you become less aware of what customers want, how they use the product, and what motivates them to sign up... These are all key competitive advantages!

"The problem with armchair criticism is it’s so easy. Of course it’s easy."

Great post from Jason. 👍
Pessimists are often right.

In the case of startups, they're usually right: most startups fail.

They also never create anything new, never make the world better.

Better to be “sometimes wonderful” than "right."
Easy to criticize, hard to create
It’s easy to explain why any given business will fail. So what? But neither is it wise to totally ignore the critics.

Good thread 👍
Here’s a question I get a lot:

> “Now that AI can generate front-end UIs for us, what’s the point of learning CSS ourselves?”

I think there are lots of reasons, including that you can use AI much more effectively if you understand CSS yourself.

But is that actually true? Let’s discuss. 🧵
