Again this is not really an indictment of the developer, this is one guy on a 255 person development team for a small Czech studio.

There’s bound to be some bad apples, but I also ascribe to the thought that if you have a table of nine people and a nazi sits down at that table and no one leaves.

And they don't understand the rage people have at CEO's. They knew they were going broke but didn't care enough to tell folks. It's the cruelty. 5 days before Christmas.
CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees Friday…that Party City is “winding down” operations immediately and that today will be their last day of employment. Staff were told they will not receive severance pay, and they were told their benefits would end as the company goes out of business.

The thing about Elizabeth Warren saying "you can only push people so far" is that she's just describing reality. The people who are pearl clutching at her words might want to actually examine that reality if her description of it is so upsetting.

Jesse Singal is a liar and a fraud of a journalist and I will prove it as an unassailable fact in this thread.

I'll also talk about why I don't think BlueSky moderation will do anything about him afterwards so stick around or maybe just skip to that if you don't want to read the boring details.

Maddest I've ever seen a conservative was on Facebook when he was mouthing off in the comments of an Amazon worker complaining about work conditions and Bezos, telling the OP they should be thanking Jeff for their livelihood.

Cis people are routinely surprised to learn there is a carefully thought out, evidence based, many layered system requiring multiple points of consent, including parents, already in place to protect kids as part of gender-affirming care for minors.

They keep demanding what already exists.

Much of the time when people label an academic field or claim or area of study as "divisive," and so not appropriate to teach or mention in schools, what they mean is that it complicates a narrative they're more comfortable having absolute and unexamined confidence in.

Here’s the most charitable reading I can offer:

The tech barons behaved as though they were atop a social hierarchy, and expected mass adoration for their generosity+forgiveness for mistakes.

Instead, Elizabeth Warren, Lina Khan et al treated them like the heads of *massive corporations.*

this gets to the point i keep making. to the media elites who are obsessed with anti-wokeness, something like mass deportation is a total abstraction whereas they are annoyed, on a daily basis, by their supposedly “woke” younger colleagues and social media antagonists
Top point from @stephenkb.bsky.social on the weighting voters give to "woke" v real issues.
