Evasion of peer review is a hallmark of pseudoscience.
But even more insidious is the obviation of scientific scrutiny by publishing in pseudoscientific journals that exist to provide an illusion of scientific legitimacy.

I've been struck by the care and compassion my federal and academic colleagues have been taking to wrap up projects and programs eliminated by this administration - they have every right to be nihilistic but they're going out with the same values that brought them to the work in the first place.
