Berkeley Marina when?
I’m one of many who believe our Vancouver waterfront should have more things to go to. Here’s one I’ve been advising & helping with— HAVN now has a proposed site in Vancouver for a floating sauna boat. They have one in Victoria already. I’ve experienced similar in Helsinki & Oslo! www.havnsaunas.com

It's looking like one of those episodes of Clone Wars where you think something cool is going to happen but instead it's an inexplicable Jar Jar episode.

At a meeting about whether we're going to build housing for young families like us. An elderly NIMBY got mad at @alanakinrich.medsky.social for 'being distracting' by breastfeeding our baby in the reserved seats in the front. In case you're wondering who they think should be part of this process.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

Remember, Zohran's primary win doesn't count because RCV isn't democratic. Also his general win doesn't count because if you took all of Silwa's votes and reallocate 100% to their presumed second choice and also somehow come up with another 2%....

This is great and all but it's also a damning indictment of NYC housing policies over the last 55 years.
BREAKING: Democrat Zohran Mamdani is elected Mayor of New York City, in the largest turnout vote since 1969. first Muslim and immigrant mayor of New York City, and the first Muslim to be elected mayor of a major U.S. city. ✅

It's crazy that we have this incredible concert venue in the midst of Berkeley but we severely limit the number of shows to appease a handful of NIMBYs who apparently weren't aware that there was a university here when they bought their homes. Thousands of people vs dozens.

This is a clear sign that Democrats are being too harsh on Republicans. Voters want a positive message and bipartisanship. That's why it's important that Democrats take the blame on themselves to appeal to middle class moderate voters

Early polls show Trump and GOP taking more blame than Democrats for shutdown
The national surveys taken in the final days of September and the first day of the shutdown find that voters are more inclined to blame Trump and his party. But many are uncertain.
