Soulwax are releasing their new album on (very very limited edition) MiniDisc and 8-track. £150!
They sure know their fanbase huh.

Cargo bikes are expensive. e-bikes are expensive. The cheapest Brompton is over a grand now.
The biggest flaw in C2W was always that it benefitted higher earners more. The better "fix" would be to create something that benefits and can be used by all.
Axing the cycle-to-work scheme might seem like low-hanging fruit for a cash-strapped Treasury, but it would be a big mistake. Particularly with expensive kid-carrying cargo e-bikes, it's one of the most effective modal shift levers out there.

Day by day I'm more and more immensely grateful that I didn't [have to] vote Labour in the last election.

You have to applaud this level of Christmas market shameless capitalism.

My tip would be against bananas... the new scanners at Manchester frequently flag them!
Here’s a tip: if you’re travelling with a cowbell and laptop adaptors in hand luggage, don’t put the adaptors inside the cowbell because that looks suspicious.

And an extra tip from my cousin Charlotte - be careful about travelling with a pack of polenta too. Also looks dodgy.

Ah wow, I have seen this guy's work, didn't realise it was all a hobby!

"build on brownfield" they say. They will never be happy.
Important to be clear here that the proposed homes wouldn't mean demolishing the 18th century garden - it's just that they might possibly be visible from it. What appallingly selfish behaviour.

A section of National Cycle Network Route 47 south of Tumble in Carmarthenshire has disappeared overnight due to landslide

⚠️ Please do not approach the site as it is extremely dangerous and unstable ⚠️

Who needs turbo trainer intervals when you can just go full gas between sets of red lights on the A6 with a squishy rear tyre?

Too warm for cycling in leggings but too muddy for bare legs. Ugh.
Totally normal November UK weather

So there's been some "package" found near Stockport station and the trains are buggered, what do the good folk of Facebook think, you ask? Immigration gone wrong, country not safe, slippery slope to digital ID, etc.
Best not try to buy tin foil at Sainsbury's, think they might have sold out!

Sorry but horse riding is not sustainable transport. It's a hobby. I don't particularly like massive piles of shit on my (unlit, poorly surfaced) commuting route, thanks.

Oh, and of course they have...

⛔️ Peak Forest Canal towpath completely blocked at Turf Lea/Strines for major works. Solid metal fence going up now. No good route Marple-Disley.

Preferable to a collapsed canal but an *unbelievably* inconvenient stretch to close with seemingly little publicity or thought to cycle & wheel diversion.

⛔️ Middlewood Way closed north of Bollington 17th-26th November. Where it often gets wet, so very welcome, but awkward to avoid!

Provided you can use steps, the best diversion would be via Macc Canal from Holehouse Ln to Hawthorn Rd. Canal and return to trail is step-free at least and no hills.

Okay so this seems like a great post-ride protein boost spot! Chug a milkshake, glide downhill on the old Buxton Rd.
If you're after fresh local milk, milkshake and related goodies, then take a look at the Norbury Hollow Cow Shed on Norbury Hollow, just off the A6.

No ice cream or robotic local accents just yet, but surely only a matter of time before they go full Our Cow Molly. And that wouldn't be a bad thing.

The drivers on Facebook are at it again. This time moaning about parking charges. 50p for an hour FFS!
Maybe they'll think twice about driving to my local park to GO FOR A WALK.
Drivers: please fix congestion
Council: okay, we'll stick some cameras up to discourage folk from blocking junctions
Drivers: no not like that

Man goes on a tour of the theme bars of the NQ and wonders why the NQ is "full of theme bars"?
Yes there's them and the plethora of Irish pubs but NQ is chocka with loads of normal places!
Joe Bishop went to the Northern Quarter's bars, to try and understand why Manchester is the cringiest city in the country.
