I remember thinking “why would they open Jurassic Park again? All those people died!” Or “why would they have another summer camp at Crystal Lake after Jason killed all those people for seven consecutive movies?” but it’s gotten to the point with things where it’s like yeah they’d do that for money

Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.
Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

the really heartbreaking thing is when i interview Chinese devs (or Korean devs as well) or even just like network with them I get thanked for treating them respectfully.... and i think that points to a much larger issue that some devs face bc of the way american journalists talk about their work
