I was so disappointed to see that DuckDuckGo also added AI to their search. Then I was very happy to discover I could actually turn that one off.

Garbage In, Garbage Out is one of the core principles of computing. It wasn't *quite* coined by Charles Babbage, but he is on record telling an interested businessman that the engine can't correct for bad inputs.

In 25 years, every business school in the country will be doing case studies about how a long defunct company known as “Google” once had an unbeatable lock on online information retrieval and then started doing shit like this.

He wanted to ban it constitutionally. I'm not looking at it with modern eyes I lived through the Bush years. This was after don't ask don't tell. ICE was always terrorizing immigrant communities and escalating it's operations. That's why people wanted to abolish ICE.

Like Yancy Street becoming A Thing IRL!

Imagine a world where you have to airdrop aid and rescue starving children from a situation an allied nation has created, whilst simultaneously supplying them arms and twisting yourself in political knots about whether or not to condemn them for it.

You don't actually have to imagine it, kids.

Police officers don’t wear masks. Judges don’t hide their identity.

Why does Trump’s immigration force hide who they are? It’s just a mechanism to get away with illegality and immorality. A tactic of authoritarianism.

Captain America is my second favorite Marvel character.

Dale Keown is one of the best Hulk artists ever.

I was not aware that this cover existed but I am now better for knowing that it does.

#Superman has politics baked into his DNA. From being a champion of the weak and the oppressed to fighting for truth, justice and the American Way/for a better tomorrow sociopolitical issues are part and parcel to the character.

This is a hill I will fight on.

Slightly spoilery but without giving anything away about the new Superman film.

In 1986 DC rebooted Superman & made him more like a Marvel character, which was the best thing for the character at that time. 1/
