Hey @citruscon.bsky.social folks! What game shows would YOU like to see at CitrusCon 2026? Any previous productions need another go-round? Maybe "Who Wants to be a Fujillionaire"? Throw some ideas my way and you might be surprised when the schedule comes out!
A game board with two yellow bars on either side with black diagonal stripes, a bottom strip between the two yellow bars that's metallic gray with two colored panes, red and blue, inset on each side. The main part of the screen is a medium green gradient that's dark on the top and bottom and brightest in the center, with the logo for the game in an arcade style blocky font. It says "THE GAME SHOW MACHINE." White, extra bold sans-serif text on a black background, where the text occupies only the first half of the image. It is designed to mimic the logo of the game on which it is based, Cards Against Humanity. Instead of that title, the title reads "BL Against Humanity." A logo for a a game show where white text on a tight black background is in a font style similar to a neon sign. Each letter is formed by a single line meant to represent a neon light tube that snakes around to make letters that are extra bold on one side and extra thin on the others. The letters make out the title of the show, "CARD SHARKS." The logo of the 1980s game show "Press Your Luck" The rectangular box has a thick red border and a yellow background. The word PRESS is at the top of the rectangle and concaves toward the top edge from the center. The word YOUR extends across the width of the rectangle. The word LUCK is similar to PRESS, but positioned at the bottom of the rectangle, concaved in towards the bottom from the center.

#11: I was fascinated with Card Sharks as a kid. Loved the oversized cards. I understood the game and could play it at home, and Jim Perry was really firmly spoken and commanded the stage well. One of my favorite lockdown projects was making a Card Sharks game with full voice clips like a madman.

CARD SHARKS premiered OTD in 1978 on NBC with the unflappable Canadian Jim Perry as host. The initial run was three years, but it's been revived three times since. "We asked 100 people this question..." I've always wondered if they polled people as they asked them FAMILY FEUD questions.

one of my hobbies i never talk abt here is that i'm a MASSIVE nerd for classic american TV, ESPECIALLY old school game shows.

there's an old 70s/80s show called Card Sharks. the show took a few weeks off between taping episodes and the returning champion had a baby. THEY GAVE THE BABY A NAME TAG
