here’s a recent guilty pleasure - this woman plays the repertoire on the big pipe organ in Riga, and if you’ve never seen one of these actually in operation you don’t realize how athletic the enterprise actually is. certainly a staggering technical challenge to keep the beast lumbering!

there’s some powerful competition, but this season’s best show - for my money - might just be Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota, maybe the best show I’ve ever seen about how different flavors of neurodivergence spark off one another.

we’re experiencing another round of JFK assassination discourse, so perhaps a few words about my mother might be appropriate.
we saw Stone’s JFK as a family and mother was quite affected - this was a formative trauma for her growing up. so she spent years reading every book on the subject. (1/9)

one of my biggest niche crank opinions is that I’ve loathed G-Mail since it first premiered and only use it when I’ve needed to for work … Microsoft may be trash but Outlook still works so much better than whatever the fuck Google is trying to do at any given moment.
