Thrilled to announce that Slay the Princess has officially surpassed one million units sold!

When we started work on it, we couldn't imagine a visual novel would be able to hit such a milestone let alone being backed by critical acclaim. And yet, here we are. We couldn't have done this without you.

A good producer is absolutely an incredible force multiplier and allows the folks who are creating the actual artifacts to be more effective.

A producer beholden to methodology or who does not understand the needs of the game they're working, however, can do irreparable damage very easily.
I reposted this, and then saw some discourse in the replies, so here's my take: big games absolutely need managers and producers. In fact, as I've grown older, more of my time is spent on being a manager and producer. But I think the underlying sentiment here is: trust the people in the trenches.
I know several games made solely by programmers, I know none made only by project managers.

Not to get political, but America is very pretty and has a lot of nice folks making cool things, and I think if we had a president who wasn’t actively trying to murder us, we could have a pretty good time

It's the Ordo Mediare Sister's golden ratio!

I am often asked: are your drawings based on historical accuracy? Sources? I cannot say it 'accurate', much of it is between medieval artistry, historical sources, and fantasy moe, and they are already mixed bowl of pottage.

The correct answer to this is "Yes, and everyone else too."
Should artists get a basic income like they do in Ireland?
Could the government pay salaries to musicians and artists - no strings attached like they do in Ireland?

It’s not enough to say Abolish ICE. It’s not enough to vote no on ICE funding. It’s not enough to confront Kristi Noem or Greg Bovino with Stern Words.

If you are a leader, what are you doing to protect your community? How are you using your power, privilege, and position to confront this threat?

Three Democrats who previously broke with the party and voted with the GOP are now saying they will not vote for the bill. That’s enough for the bill to be unpassable right now.
DHS funding bill faces new Senate hurdles after another person killed in Minneapolis
Some Democrats who voted for recent funding bills said they'll vote against any DHS bill without restrictions on enforcement operations. The deadline to avert a shutdown is Friday.

I got sick of zombie horror a long time ago because it was becoming less about horror and more about violent wish fulfillment for people seeking an excuse to dehumanize everyone they didn't have immediate control over.

Those people are going to learn we are not zombies. We are problem solvers.
