Data management can be time consuming and mind numbing. But I'm currently converting last year's student teacher records to teachers at their schools, which is actually really nice.

And there are so many of these small things that govt could have fixed

*to show it knows about all the little broken pieces
*to show that it cares
*because it can fix and fix now
*as proof of concept that they can and will fix things
*because it's the efficient thing to do
This is the sort of small but meaningful thing that helps to tackle a major frustration for one group of people inability to do something as basic as book a driving test furthers their feeling Britain is broken. Sort of thing govt should be leading with not infighting.

I know it's not the fault of the individuals, but having my orthopedic appointment cancelled and then told it will be a month before they can see me - during which time I can't drive - is massively frustrating.

It feels like the objection was that Panorama provided a soundbite summarizing the intent of the speech - Trump & co assumed, probably rightly, that their fans wouldn't make the link when the statements were separated in the original speech.
IMV the BBC made a bad mistake with the spliced speech, but the idea that it distorted an otherwise peaceful bit of oratory is nonsense.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the speech etc = insurrection. SCOTUS didn't dispute those factual findings. www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/fi...

All the evidence shows that transphobes are actually a minority, as with most form of bigots.
Problem is they are a very vocal minority and because of that are taken as the "voice of the people". Make your voice heard against them👇

I can be fully aware of all the necessary steps, and stressing about starting, and just... not.

🏊‍♀️The women who swim at Kenwood Ladies Pond have already made their decision.

In 2024, almost 900 members voted to keep their trans-inclusive policy - a policy that has worked peacefully since 2019.

Now, a small campaign group is seeking to overturn that democratic decision through the courts.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.
