My heart is with the people of Manitoba as they flee their homes due to wild fires.

The federal government will send the Canadian Armed Forces to support you during this tragic time and to work to create resilient communities in the future.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit.

ICE officers. Cabinet members. White House staffers. Even the president.

250 years ago today America began its march toward independence at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The battles marked “No Kings Day, Part I.” Today millions of Americans will take part in “No Kings Day, Part II.”

The ice caves of #Iceland are natural wonders, formed by geothermal activity and seasonal melting of #glaciers. Over time, water carves through the ice, creating intricate tunnels and cylindrical structures. These caves change annually, offering a unique, ever-evolving landscape.

An event which is quite literally put on by the Mayor of London.

This year Sadiq said: "The Passion of Jesus welcomes thousands of Londoners of all backgrounds to Trafalgar Square to enjoy a live reenactment of the story of Jesus’s final days and resurrection."

Who's losing?

Good morning and happy Saturday. Ordering 30,000 real eggs to waste rolling down the lawn of the White House on a Christian holiday, during an egg shortage, after promising to lower the price of eggs, is the peak analogy of this administration. He spits in their faces and they moisturize with it.

Curious if GlobalX or whatever charter airlines ICE uses for these Salvadorean concentration camp flights has enough other business that other countries could punish them by not letting them operate in their countries.

You can imagine the conversation at Reform Party HQ.

"Let's poach the Tories' brightest and best talent!"

"Well - none of them are interested, Nigel."

"Well OK let's ask LIZ TRUSS to join us... instead, then. "

Reform UK are in talks with Liz Truss. Their policies already look pretty certain to tank the economy, but they must want to be absolutely sure.

Fun Tariff Facts: during the depression the US lost access to many imported paper products. They were replaced with an unusually tough paper stock made of hemp from the Philippines (then a US colony, and tariff exempt).

Anyway, that’s why they were, and still are, called Manila folders /
envelopes.

I will make a simple point, ceasefires are declared so that discussions for peace can go ahead.

If you are declaring random ceasefires for 24 hours or ceasefires in X areas but not in Y.

You aren't interested in a ceasefire.

Autism isn’t an epidemic. It's not a disease. It’s a natural variation in how people think…which, frankly, is a relief in a world where most people don't think at all.
