The fact that this person remains Health Secretary is objectively one of the most significant British political scandals of the post-Covid era. But because he's doing something the media barons like, everyone has decided it's fine.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting says that the British Medical Association, which represents Britain's doctors, is a threat to the NHS. Streeting took a record £225k from private healthcare-related donors in just two years.

Any self-respecting individual/organisation should stop using Xitter immediately.

X is a radicalisation machine that pushes people into angry extremism, peddles disinformation and conspiracy theories and is run by an egomaniacal lunatic who threatens civil war on our streets and wants to trash our democracy.
It does nothing but harm.
So, yes. Government should stop using it.
🔉What dangers does X pose to our democracy? And should the government stop using it?

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

Rachel Reeves' budget is bound to be a failure.

At every juncture so far, Labour have refused to properly address:
- supermarket & energy company price gouging & profiteering
- parasitic privatisation of public services (e.g. Thames Water)

So how can it be anything other than a disaster?

Post-Brexit UK now used as a cautionary tale against rank stupidity.
I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

We're worried the door to NHS privatisation is opening wider through new PFI‑style deals.

This isn’t “support”, it’s a risk to the very fabric of the NHS.

Help us stop this before the autumn budget sets the path.

But this is not enough.
This is not justice for the victims of Epstein.

All associates of Epstein need properly investigating, including both Mandelson and Prince Andrew.

Keep quiet - it'll blow over...

We must keep Andrew Windsor trending & demand that the royal family is not above the law; they should explain themselves, especially when accused of a crime as odious as raping a minor...
It is not justice if the rich can avoid court by paying off claimants. It is not justice when a young woman, traumatised and alone when compared to what she was going up against – the entire might of The Great British Establishment – doesn’t get her day in court.
