The fed govt invites firearms license-holders to participate in the National Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program. This voluntary program will compensate owners who surrender their assault-style weapons. It is open until March 31. After Oct 30, 2026 it will be illegal to possess such weapons.

Today is the anniversary of the tragic downing of Flight PS752 from Tehran to Kyiv, with 176 persons on board, 55 Canadian citizens and 30 permanent residents.

Applications will re-open this spring for GAC's 176 1-year scholarships on air disaster prevention.
