I'm still working on my software-defined radio stuff in Rust. Yesterday I began working on an SSTV decoder. It took me soooo long to just get clear detection of the pulses used in the header. And mind you, this is from a very clean signal I generated myself.

I made a terminal program that shows radio signals from the RTL-SDR as a waterfall. So it basically shows the spectrum over time. More red -> stronger signal.

All I want are some nice bindings for librtlsdr! All that exist are lacking and I can't even write my own, because librtlsdr itself just yolos libusb without any synchronization 😭

And oh boy did they cram a lot of detail into a 14 byte frame. The spec I'm "reading" is over 1000 pages long 😵

There is not a single publicly available API to query NOTAMs (afaik)!
The FAA has a search tool that uses an undocumented API. You can query it at (0°N, 0°W) with a radius of a bazillion NM, it'll take a couple of seconds, report 40k NOTAMs, but only return 30 at a time 😠
