Trump, when asked if he has committed extreme misogynist abuse, responds with less extreme, but still quite impressively extreme, misogynist abuse.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

This part! As someone who has barely seen any tv or movies I always appreciate finding out what actor or show something is in alt text.

Or just knowing what it is you’re trying to show, in general!

PLUS I loooove alt text on a selfie. I love knowing how my beautiful friends see themselves.
If you don't use ALT out of consideration for people who are visually impaired, do it because half the time your image does not on its own clearly convey (even to those without impairment) whatever the hell you think it conveys.

Wait, DDOT is hiring for someone who will "[manage] the planning for route modifications as well as for the introduction of new routes in the Circulator system" which was shut down a year ago?

It's also weird, and a little alarming, that @wmata.com still refuses to use ALT text on images. But I suppose it's not that surprising.

(ALT for quoted post: photo of a bus with front sign reading "C63 Deanwood")
🚌 You spoke. We listened. Starting Dec. 14, DC's C63 route, serving Washington Hospital Center, will extend to Georgia Av-Petworth, providing a connection to the Green line and neighborhoods to the west of the hospital center.

Glad to see the C63 (Deanwood–WHC) route extended — several Ward 1 ANCs passed resolutions requesting the restoration of front door access to the hospitals from the west — but Georgia Ave–Petworth seems like a curious choice.

Looks like a hard place to turn a bus around from the south, for one….

Workers should be able to move as freely and easily as owners do.
Anything short of open borders is bigotry. I mostly keep this one quiet because it's so far from political reality that it's not worth talking about, but there's really no morally justifiable reason that I should be able to move to Utah, but a Guatemalan guy should not.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

it's almost like being back in Pittsburgh a dozen years ago, when Uber was hiring half of CMU's robotics program to help it make driverless cars……
I’m really tired of the Waymo policy machine, and how it’s bought up bike/ped/disability advocacy.

Great, your robot cars will do some of the basics that human drivers won’t do, like use turn signals and pay attention. In return, we can’t regulate you, and our transit systems will die.

We give up.

More funny if you forget that instead of actually caring about sex abuse by elites, the right-wing tried to shoot up a great local music venue
Pizzagate: If you replace the word “hot dog” with “little boy” and “pizza party” with “child sex orgy,” you will see the lengths these elites go to cover up their crimes.

Real elite emails: Send me nude pictures of those 8th graders we abused last weekend post-haste! I am the Ambassador to Turkey.
