My sister died the day after her 40th birthday due to extreme stress. She took a nap and never woke up.

Nothing is gonna stress me out to that extent. Not a man, not a job, not these bills, and for damn sure not politics. I refuse.

Stress kills.
That’s the real advice for your 30s.

You do not have to compete for love. You are love.

You do not have to earn love. You have it and embody it.

No, you do not need to prove your worth and value to anyone. It is inherent.

You are worthy. You are loved. You are valuable. Your presence is a gift. You are a prize. You are good enough.✨

Increasingly what our rulers mean when they say "efficiency" is not delivering more good to human beings with less waste and cost, but rather enslavement and systemic murder of human beings for more profit.

But the purpose of human beings is not efficiency.

Our Purpose Isn't Efficiency
Society is not a corporation and we are not its employees. Moving the sick American spirit toward health by abandoning fool notions and damned lies.

Pretty wild to be living in a time when humans are being forced to work in order to even be considered deserving of life or even to be considered human at all, while simultaneously human labor is being systematically eliminated from the concept of work.

Love this place, I don't love nearby, but I'd visit often, if I did.

If you think fashion (such as the MET Gala) is a distraction from the serious business of the world, I would say you don't understand fashion and you understand less about the serious business of the world than you think you do.

I hope everyone knows that it's very easy for any social content platform, including Bluesky, to be a misery machine and that if you aren't intentional about it, they will absolutely decrease the positive impact you have on the world while making you less happy.

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

"The left went too far" in contemporary U.S. politics is almost always a lie and a very convenient way to rationalize moral failure. For example, "MeToo went too far" replaces "I do not care about sexual violence or its victims and I don't want to have to even feel bad about that"

Friends, I know you're excited to try protesting, but under no circumstances should you ever sign up to attend one. I'm suspicious of any org asking people to put their name on a list that is easily accessible via warrant or may even be public. You can just show up day of.

And worth considering next time we think about blaming Dems for not “getting their message out there.” The media is a right wing outrage machine. There is nothing amplifying the righteous outrage all normal Americans are feeling right now. The media tempers it.

Here's the thing about being a woman: our entire existence is at premium. That is because the world is made with men in mind and not women in mind.

The pink tax is REAL There are similar products on the shelves of stores you visit that are priced higher for women, which is WHY tariffs don't help.

You might be wondering "Anna, what other stuff could the tariffs impact?" And I would say: THE HAIR INDUSTRY.

Have you been to a beauty supply store? Everything is basically imported from China. And who does that impact the most? Black and minority women. This is #TheDoubleTax.
lol these tariffs are about to make being a woman in America WAY MORE EXPENSIVE and we need to talk about. A thread/

My entire life, fat ppl were told their fat bodies were due to a lack of self control + inherent badness. Some ppl are able to regain that control through drugs and it turns out a whole industry will simply conspire to undo it. Almost as if that’s their whole thing.
A drug made for diabetes (Ozempic/Semaglutide) is repurposed for weight loss… and Big Food’s response? Engineer products to override it.

We’ve turned medicine into a lifestyle fix and food into a counterattack.

This isn’t wellness. It’s a quiet undoing.

11,000 people showed up.
