When you spell out Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the character of people who oppose DEI becomes much more clear. Spell it out!

President Trump’s AI order is an attempt to kill responsible safety reforms passed by states, which would create a lawless Wild West environment for AI companies that puts Americans at risk. This is a terrible idea.

The true numbers could be closer to a loss of 20,000 jobs a month. trib.al/3m2ZShR

Somali-American communities are being targeted by the Trump Administration.

And DHS will continue to lie and spread misinformation about arresting U.S. citizens.

This makes none of us safer.

Republicans just wrapped a meeting on healthcare and not even pretending to have a plan.

They’re blaming Dems for the shutdown, as if that stopped them from doing the job. They were still getting paid, they could have been working the entire time.

15 years of whining about Obamacare—still nothing!

A Paramount-Warner Bros. merger would be a five-alarm antitrust fire.

Not to mention it's backed by a who's who of Trump buddies and foreign money.

The government's review of any deal needs to be based on the law and facts — not who sucked up the most to Donald Trump.

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday, I published a Substack that looks thoroughly at the legal reasoning behind the Trump Administration's attacks on boats. Whether they are drug boats or not is irrelevant. The strikes are illegal.

The Legal “Lie Onion”: Trump’s Caribbean Boat Strikes
The problem with the boat strikes in the Caribbean and whether they qualify as war crimes or not is that it reduces a much larger conversation with many, many legal issues to a simple one-topic conversation.

It’s important to remember there are two scandals here:

1. The Administration has likely committed war crimes.

2. But the entire operation - which now includes two dozen attacks - is illegal. In our democracy, the President CANNOT wage war without the consent of the people.
BERMAN: Did you see any evidence of them trying to use a radio in the video you saw?

TOM COTTON: Well I saw lots of evidence of them standing on the boat that had been capsized

BERMAN: That wasn't my question. Did you see any evidence?

COTTON: No, I didn't

Interpreting the 14A as narrowly as possible—as SCOTUS has done recently in Dobbs & Trump v. Anderson—aligns neatly with the larger GOP goal of destroying the New Deal state & reviving the overtly white nationalist apartheid regime of the Jim Crow era.
There has been no debate here among constitutional scholars, historians, political scientists, anyone with a pulse really.

Any telling you that this very straightforward point, one that has been universally accepted for a century and a half, is now an "abstruse" issue is just a liar and a hack.
Anyone who knows this history should know there’s no contested issue.
