This is a pretty good demonstration of the split between the focus on validity and the focus others of us have on the actual ways we're targeted for violence. Our avenues for transition are closed off, the legal systems target us for heightened physical, sexual violence, and more along these lines.

Our concern isn't our fragile feels and our gender notions, it's that medication is withheld, our identity is revoked on licenses and we're targeted for legal discrimination in the workplace, our kids are sexually assaulted for the crime of wanting to play soccer, we're subject to v-coding, etc.

For folks in the US, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to support queer art over the next few years. Project 2025 seeks to label queer art pornographic and those who make or distribute it pornographers and sex offenders. We can't roll over and accept that. Queer art will live forever.
