Been around the block, retired from education, sort of, not retired from life. Now got time for watercolour painting, riding my bike, and playing blues, though not all at the same time.

A man whose disgusting lies in the S*n in 1989 still hurt and wound today. And are still believed by the hard of thinking.
Yet the BBC see fit to invite this cowardly piece of antipodean detritus on air to discuss “standards”.
A far more serious error of judgment than anything about Trump.

Remember when the plastic carrier bag charge was introduced - we were told the cost was to deter us from using single use plastics?
So why are retail companies now charging us for paper carrier bags?
It’s as if they wanted to make a profit all along, from a bag that advertises their brand.

I see the PGMOL are still ignoring the rule about only one coach allowed in the technical area pitch side. Or has Newcastle’s Jason Tyndall got a special dispensation. Oh wait he isn’t in the box now, he’s now just sprinted down the line to retrieve a ball 🤷♂️

Maybe Parliament should bring such people into the house to explain their comments. They eventually did it with the liar Johnson, who simply lied even more, but surely Pochin has brought the HoC into disrepute by her racist rant.
I mean, there’s obviously a reason for this that isn’t “grotesque protection of the worst people while the decent are hung up to dry”, and it’s that if you allowed this stuff to go on - no matter how much you agree with it (which I do) - Parliament would quickly end up unable to function.
Dawn Butler was ordered to leave the commons when she called a lying Prime Minister a liar - now the deputy speaker tells her that you can’t call a racist a racist - grotesque protection of the worst people while the decent are hung up to dry

All schools in England that received grant funding to pay for the removal of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (Raac) should be free of it by the end of this parliament, the education secretary has pledged.
Setting out a new timeline for dealing with the crumbling concrete crisis in schools, Bridget Phillipson said: “We inherited a crumbling education estate, but I won’t let that be our legacy. Continue reading...
