An image of a planning notice detailing a new application to house up to 800 asylum seekers in Greater Manchester has been circulating online.

But the planning notice is fake, and Stockport Council has confirmed no such application has been submitted.

Social media posts claim 2.4m households have cancelled the BBC licence fee since 2020.
