In Parliament last week Anna McMorrin MP said Labour had “halved the use of [asylum] hotels”.

This isn’t right. The number of asylum hotels fell from a peak of 400 to 210, but the vast majority of that happened under the Conservatives, as we explain 👇

A video claims the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine contains “cancer-causing SV40”.

This isn’t correct. The vaccine doesn’t contain the SV40 monkey virus, which can induce cancer in animals. It uses a fragment of SV40’s DNA sequence, which doesn’t cause cancer.

At #PMQs earlier deputy PM David Lammy said “4,000 military homes, that’s nine out of every ten” are to be upgraded.

The MOD has since told us Mr Lammy meant to say “40,000”. As of March 2025, there were 47,600 Service Family Accommodation homes in the UK.
