In other news, doing whippets is bringing people a surprising amount of joy
There is yet another weird way to watch television.

People are sitting through one to two minute clips of classic shows and popular movies filling their social feeds, giving viewers a way to relive the joy without the time commitment.

the fact that the news media isn't blasting across every front page of the country how completely unhinged the president is on a 24/7/365 basis, tells me that the news media is completely complicit in Trump's regime.

Utterly ludicrous framing from @nytimes.com here, treating Pete Hegseth's arguments as if they're legitimate. The casual reader will be left with no inkling whatsoever of how unusual and corrupt an abuse of the process this truly is:

Yes. Yes he is. He's extrajudicially murdered over 80 people the South American coast.
The correct answer to MAGA outrage over the Dem video is this: Are you effing kidding me? Of course it's reasonable to warn that Trump might be giving illegal orders.

The evidence is strong that he actually is giving illegal orders! I went through that evidence here:

Is Trump Giving Illegal Orders? Dems Just Blew That Question Wide Open
From the boat bombings to deportations to prosecutions, the evidence mounts. And the speaker of the House could get to the bottom of it if he wanted to. Yeah, right.

I don’t ever want to hear any Republican anywhere ever complain about someone instigating political violence against them ever again. They are a political violence party. They just object to splashback onto themselves of the environment of political violence they’ve created.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

This absolutely is Jeff Bezos’s fault. I feel sorry for the excellent journalists and other staff caught up in his mismanagement, but this is his doing. And it will only lead to the Post doing even worse, which will then — almost inevitably — lead to more layoffs.
Some news: The Washington Post is preparing to cut newsroom staff even after several high profile exits. Bezos’ new opinion editor has privately told people The Post is in “severe financial distress.” Details in @status.news www.status.news/p/washington...

I'm sorry, but we cannot survive as a democracy if we're only willing and able to address inequality when it's proven to be intentionally and recently caused. But that's the course this Supreme Court and far-right conservatives (like those defending Charlie Kirk's reputation) want us on.
