I think a lot about the way my tutors in games design would pull the 'we'd never ask anyone to crunch, you don't need to crunch' and just spend so much time setting up false expectations for people even at the time I knew wasn't a good idea.Any false pretences about contracts quickly left postgrad

Trying to make friends as an adult is literally the most embarrassing thing ever and I do not know how people do it.
There like am I being too friendly???? Should I back away from conversation so I do not seem overly eager, is my presence inherently annoying or am I paranoid. How do people do it.
