House GOP Leadership just announced they want to cut at least $880 Billion from Medicaid.

This webinar covers how to meet with the office of a Senator or Congressperson to advocate for Medicaid. These meetings are a way to take your advocacy to the next level, and are incredibly important.

The CFPB has returned over $21 billion back to millions of American consumers.

Color me surprised that Donald Trump and Elon Musk want to close down the government agency that makes it harder for banks, big corporations, and billionaires to rip us all off.

Freeland: Our retaliation is going to be a lot more surgical than that. We are going to go after American stakeholders who matter to The White House. I have proposed a 100% tariff on all Teslas. I am calling on all the countries that are affected by this tariff to join us

Oh my god yes please
I think the correct thing is for state governments to pass legislation to seize federal employment taxes to make up the promised shortfall and put them directly to their own coffers.
This unlawful withholding of funds needs to stop. There are so many Coloradans depending on this funding and the ripple effects will have no political boundaries.

A tiny advocacy action :)
A quick resistance task:
1. Google Gulf of Mexico
2. “Gulf of America" is the top
3. Click on the three little dots to the right of it
4. Select "Send Feedback"
5. Click on "Gulf Of America"
6. Select "Inaccurate content"
7. Select "Incorrect" and type in "The correct name is “Gulf of Mexico"

Once again: The animating purpose of representative democracy is to protect the rest of us from the whims of insane rich people, be they kings or oligarchs. Everything else is wainscoting.
The takeover of Twitter was a preview of what we're all living with now and a stark example of why you can't let any one person have too much money: they go insane and make themselves everybody's problem

SEATTLE JUST VOTED TO ENACT A TAX ON MILLIONAIRE BUSINESSES TO BUILD SOCIAL HOUSING.

Late results tend to favor left wing results, so the chance of this flipping in the coming days is near zero.
JUST IN: Seattle voters are saying yes to social housing and yes to Proposition 1A, which would levy a 5 percent payroll tax on employers on annual compensation above $1 million paid to any employee in the city. election-results-01.kingcounty.gov/results.pdf

If you should happen to need evidence that google is full of shit about this, here’s the rationale the company presented:

“We got feedback that some other events and countries were missing — and maintaining hundreds of moments manually and consistently globally wasn’t scalable or sustainable.”
Google Calendar removed events like Pride and BHM because its holiday list wasn’t ‘sustainable’
Some users are angry that some events have been removed.
