I feel like this is going on with *every* topic I attempt to google. It was first noticeable to me years ago when searches about video games started returning multiple pages of identical, content free "articles". But the added "sophistication" & sheer volume of trash AI results is out of control.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

RFK Sr.'s trip to Mississippi in *1967* left him shaken. It is obscene how many problems we have solved in living memory and people just pocketed those gains and decided they could never return. Now we have Kennedy's son leading the charge to bring them back. It's deranged.

"Let Us Now Praise Famous Men" was published in *1941.* People today do not have any conception of the level of ambient poverty, malnutrition, and just general backwardness that existed in the US prior to WWII. These are people who remember the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl.

People feel less wealthy now than people in the 1950s/1960s did because the material conditions of you and the people around you is roughly on par, unlike the 50s/60s when a twenty minute drive out of town might return you to the 19th Century if not further back.

He is a real charmer (before they even got to the substance of the case)!

Thank you for further helping me convince everyone how terrible the shitty Atlantic is. I barely ever think about you or post about you because you're a waste of characters and energy but you really outdid yourself on the journalistic sewage front here without me lifting a typing finger. Fuck off.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

Per multiple sources:

Two hours after ruling that Lindsey Halligan was unlawfully appointed to her post as US Atty in Virginia, prosecutors in the office were notified to put name of an assistant U.S. Atty atop cases

At 430p, instruction was reversed. They were told to resume using Halligan’s name

@wyden.senate.gov and @repespaillat.bsky.social leveraged their letterhead to get airlines to stop giving passenger flight data to the government. It worked. The airlines are shutting down the program.

Ds are really good at doing things that are outright wins, and really bad at sharing them.

After 404 Media's months-long reporting and pressure from lawmakers, the data broker owned by the U.S.’s major airlines will now shut down a program in which it sold access to hundreds of millions of flight records to the government and let agencies track peoples’ movements without a warrant.

You absolutely need to change this headline. It's unacceptable and disrespectful to the people harmed by the pollution.

This article itself makes it clear that the water pollution linked to cancer and miscarriages is coming entirely from nitrate pollution from farms.

The article itself has a lot of great coverage of people harmed by nitrate pollution from farms.

This headline is like running a story on how a cigarette company caused cancer, but the headline only mentioning an unrelated bowling alley in the town, and implying the bowling alley caused the cancer
