The CDC's recommendation to delay the Hep B vaccine from birth to 1-3 month is the worst of all worlds. They give it at birth because that's when it can still head off Heb B infection from birthing fluids. Waiting a month just makes it less effective.

There are a lot of obscene things about this story, but the fact that there is a GoFundMe for this baby rather than millions of dollars dedicated to his lifelong care by the state of Georgia is right up there at the top. The state forced this child to be born into a life of pain and procedures.
This remains one of the most disturbing stories of the year. A 1st trimester fetus incubated in a dead woman's body against the will of her family until a very early term birth when the corpse could no longer sustain life.
