This is heartbreaking. I've seen her dadadan cosplay in passing in reels.

At the same time, I hope those unwashed ghouls are cursed to never have a day of peace.
A Black cosplayer named ash squidkid passed recently due to anti Black harassment.

They were constantly bullied and it became too much.

This is why the anime community sucks.

Its why its very hard to support any of it when creators and participants practice racism towards consumers that are Black

For me it's the way the press pool just quietly went along with it because he's the president

The entire point of this country is that we don't have to let some guy do whatever he wants just because of his title. We don't have to respect him or go along with him just because he holds an office
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

A cycling influencer nominated for a list of top 100 women cyclists said she has declined the honour due to the decision not to include trans women.

Claire Sharpe, a cycling coach from Bristol, said: "If they don't want to ride with all women, then it's not the kind of ride I want to be part of" 👏🏻

Child marriage is heinous, but one thing I never see brought up in those discussions is that if you are under 18, you cannot file for divorce. If you are under 18 and married to an adult, they are your legal guardian and make decisions for you. That is not a partnership.
Most Minors Who Are Married Can't File for Divorce — Even if They Want To
The final installment of Wedlocked, our series about child marriage in the U.S., explores divorce.

children need to have the capability to have complete autonomy and privacy from their parents, and full voting rights. the childrens bill of rights doesnt go far enough. too many human rights are restricted for children and people the law can legally define as children.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I wrote a Patreon post yesterday about how publishing is how treating romance novels as an accessory for influencers and god I hate being right. Also it’s telling that there’s a whole thread in the comments saying how mid the books are.
I’ll say this much: This reads exactly like what it is: people who discovered romance five years ago and decided they had all kinds of amazing new ideas to “fix” it. Connections between books? That feel kind of cozy to the reader? How did no one ever think of that?? www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/b...

a mom in a Chicago Bulls t-shirt and a messy bun stood in front of a bunch of TV cameras to rail against masked goons taking teachers from babies and the ruling consultant class in D.C. does not understand the level of radicalization happening here. And they'd be well served by connecting the dots.

i’d also say that the GOP’s obsession with this gives candidates an opportunity to articulate and stand up for their values. “i refuse to make anyone feel like they don’t belong in my [state/city/community]. and i want everyone to live the best life they can achieve [insert policy slogan]”
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.
