The Berry Cave Salamander (Gyrinophilus gulolineatus) is only known to occur in ten cave systems in the Appalachian karst region of the ridge and valley in eastern Tennessee where it primarily lives as a stygobitic neotene.

Henry "Buster" Brown served from Okinawa through occupied Japan. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps before the war, making him a natural fit as a SeaBee ("Construction Battalion"). My grandfather's experience as a SeaBee gave him a life-long career in civil construction. #VeteransDay
