The BBC is ours. It's ours to love. Ours to criticise. Ours to shout at when we feel in the mood.

And if Farage thinks that the way to win favour with voters is to stand around cheering as Trump takes down the BBC for $1 billion of personal enrichment then he's a bigger fool than anyone thought.

1945 the British made sure that Germanys public broadcasting system would never be taken over by an authoritarian leader again by creating a complicated federal system.
They didn’t see to that at home which has left the BBC vulnerable.
This needs to change now.

An accurate appraisal of what just happened to the BBC.
Not for the first time, heads have rolled at the BBC following a puffed-up scandal pushed by the UK's Tory press. Will the ABC learn the lessons of its British compatriot?
Bending over backwards for the right isn’t saving the BBC. It won’t save the ABC either

why does mogg hate the UK so much?
Mogg's suit is his armour.

His cut glass accent and Etonian affectation are a force field.

Beneath them both, he's a rude, insufferable arse.

He then repeatedly asks Gillian Tett questions but doesn't let her reply, so Victoria Derbyshire has to step in and tell him off

"I think this leader can do it."

US President Donald Trump praised Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, after his visit to Washington DC. It was the first time a Syrian president had visited the White House in at least 80 years.

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.

The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.

The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.

exactly; this is the punishment for grovelling, rather than pointing out that everything trump has done confirms the essentially correctness of the panorama edit
This. The BBC brought this on themselves by being so cowed.
This threatened law suit is ridiculous. But very irritating that the BBC put itself in such a vulnerable position and will now have to spend so much energy and attention defending itself,
