It is buckwild to me that narratives about uploading human consciousness to computers often talk about it solving physical needs.. as though servers don't need anything.. maintenance, power, parts that come from limited resources of the earth, space, more power..

Common Side Effects is such an interesting show-
Folks involved in Scavenger's Reign and King of the Hill are involved with this show, and I think it really shows. It has a depth and nuance that makes it compelling in a very Human way.

Just finished this lovely book.. I feel such a sweet connection to many of this author's experiences- it's such a relevant depiction of navigating identity, love, and the desire for family and community. I highly recommend it.

I recommend The Residence (on Netflix)

It's got good quirk and humorous good timing, and lots of juicy lil mysteries- the initial description I read said it has a lot of red herrings, which is accurate.

Uzo Aduba is an absolute delight as the Great Detective in this story. Very satisfying.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.
