86% of Black voters backed Kamala Harris in November, and we’re on the front lines leading up to the election. So no, nobody should be in the business of questioning our political resolve.

Think it’s important to highlight how everyday violence of the U.S. criminal legal system is making what ICE is doing possible: this man was convicted of a crime at *16*; he was *pardoned*; when ICE came decades later they claimed the conviction made him a felon w/ no recourse against deportation
Rodney Taylor is a beloved Georgia barber who came to the United States from Liberia with his mother when he was only two years old. He applied for citizenship but was denied. But this year, ICE arrested him, locked him up, and has scheduled him to be deported to a faraway country he's never known.
Recently engaged, beloved barber arrested by ICE | How his immigration story is questioning the system
Rodney Taylor, a Georgia barber, has been pursuing permanent residency for years. Now, he faces deportation to Liberia despite being in the U.S. since childhood.

The detention of Mahmoud Khalil puts all Americans fundamental rights at risk. And if you can’t see that because you oppose his politics, well that’s exactly the reaction Trump and his cronies are counting on. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Seeing the laughably bad takes on Rep. Al Green's stand last night, including by never-trumper darlings like Adam Kinzinger. Do you really think a 77-year-old Black man who was born and raised in the Jim Crow South and didn't have the right to vote until he was an adult needs a lecture on optics? 1

W.E.B. Du Bois on the white takeover of southern public schools after Reconstruction. Not a coincidence that the chapter, "Back Towards Slavery," follows his analysis of the eventual dedegration of the public school system. Attacks on education are vital to (re)instituting authoritarian rule.

People with doctorates are the most liberal and progressive. The entire mission of destroying academia is to eliminate entire voting demographics. They explicitly spell this out.

Shutting down PhD programs isn't an accident, it's the goal.

If the SAVE Act is signed into law, active duty service members and married women would not be able to vote because the verbiage of the bill does not accept name change forms, marriage licenses, military IDs, or even RealIDs (which everyone in Louisiana had to get).

Tribal IDs wouldnt count either

To engage in resistance, you need to engage in acts of resistance. 🧪

You DO NOT NEED TO:
1. Sign up to attend a protest
2. Use your real name if you must sign up for something (any list you sign is insecure)
3. Use your work email address (don't)

Don't trust anyone telling you that you have to
