I’m so grateful that so many more folks are observing World AIDS Day and are committed to reducing stigma. I remember being a 90s kid and was afraid to tell folks how my paternal grandma died and not knowing how my godbrother passed until adulthood.

Thanksgiving is such a weird day. It’s the one non-Christian specific holiday many people have off of work, upholds the myth of native-pilgrim connection and invisiblizes the (ongoing) reality of Indigenous genocides on Turtle Island.

I hope this moment we find ourselves in pushes more of us to embrace abolition and fight for our collective freedom.

I hope folks see that policing and militarization don’t keep us safe - we do.

I hear folks talking about the Epstein emails and that orange man felating Clinton and tbh IDGAF.

You know why? Because what adults consent to sexually with each other isn’t my business.

I just want everyone to have the experience of living in dignity with access to sufficient food, safe housing, needed medical care, high quality education, and time to engage with what sparks their curiosity and spirit

this should not be controversial 🫠

Having to reckon with the reality that people you love don’t really fck with you like that is painful & leaves some of us feeling like our hearts are splintered.

Cry, cuss, or feel your feels & know it’ll be ok.

📢: Protection of marriage equality does not equal the protection of all LGBTQIA+ people. It, for now, protects same sex, cis married couples.

It doesn’t protect trans & nonbinary kin who are targeted & under multiple threats incl. denial of healthcare…

I know folks are saying it for giggles & likes but stop saying that those who voted against your interests or for a candidate you don’t like should move South.

You don’t get to push folks you don’t like out & the South isn’t a dumping ground.

As a person who never got to trick or treat & celebrate Halloween as a kid, it gives me so much joy to hand out treats. Takis were by far the hit of the night but them kids cleaned us out of almost everything.

We were tired so we threw on old PJs & went as big bones 😂. Our dog just went as cute lol

There’s nothing quite like trolling ass internet strangers talking greasy that makes me want call folks knuckle dragging bitches more often.

Don’t let my commitment to rhetorical and corporeal nonviolence fool you. I do my inner work to move with grace but that’s not always my first draft.

2025 Surgery #3 is done. I know healthcare is a barrier but getting medical treatments is an act of care if you can manage it. S/o to my amazing eye health team & surgeons for helping me get relief.

In this world where some folks mercilessly wage violence and war, choose to be somebody’s peace.

Absolutely give oppressors good trouble and holy hell but choose to be a soft place where those you love can catch their breath and get the moments of respite they need.

The deployment of tear gas throughout the Chicago area is a growing health concern. ICE is deploying tear gas in residential neighborhoods, near children, playgrounds, stores, etc. What are the health implications on our communities?

Fun fact: If I don’t cuss around you, you’re not getting my most authentic self. It’s not bc I think cussing itself is essential but bc I believe in using the full range of my vocabulary in speech. Sometimes I need to be emphatic or colloquial and that means using a word some think is profane.

A blessed coming out day to all. Here’s your annual reminder that I’m a queer AF pansexual who found deep & joy filled love with my wife despite not coming out publicly until I was 30.

Part of what’s so dope about what we have is we hold each other whole.

It’s making my heart so full to see folks taking to the streets and standing against fascism.

As you take action make sure you remember to mask up 😷! Not only will this help keep you safe from COVID, the flu, & other illnesses, masking is a surveillance deterrent.

May God and every sacred source that help lift up your spirit and your head be with you.

May we honor the gifts and grit our ancestors & elders gave to equip us for what is here and what all may come our way.

Wear a mask, vaccinate, take precautions. You don’t want navigating long covid or its 200+ symptoms like my chronic fatigue syndrome to be your reality. I wouldn’t wish this on the devil.

Shana Tova to my beloved Jewish kin! Wishing blessings and goodness for you all.

Is it bad that I kinda wish the rapture these people want would come so that the rest of us could be left in peace?

Cause they’ve already created an apocalyptic hellscape and put us into climate collapse so if those who think they’re getting scooped up dip, the rest of us and the earth can heal.

If your revolutionary and resistance work isn’t accessible, your understanding of liberation is lacking. We all can’t leave or be outside or even divest at times because some of our literal survival is linked to spaces, services, or things non-disabled folks have different relationships to.

S/o to the healthcare professionals who get telehealth is an accessibility tool. I’ve been able to see my therapist, new primary, and a specialist from bed which helps me be present because it doesn’t trigger my chronic fatigue.

Hey loves - we’re $1225 away from our goal. If you have the means, please share and if you don’t, feel free to amplify this ask in your communities!
A community member had their gas cut off bc of having to manage things like medical expenses & needs aid getting it turned on. They literally can’t do things like cook rn & need $1500 to pay the bill. Share what you can on my aliciatcrosby CA/Vmo with the tag mutual aid to help.
