This is, and has been for a long time, the fundamental problem with our "news" media. It simply amplifies statements. It does not question. It does not investigate. It simply distributes anything.
This entire article points out that there is no plan. His own Treasury Secretary says he doesn’t know anything about it. So why does media keep running these kind of headlines? He keeps making these Truth Social posts and media keeps running stories as if it is something real.

This should go without saying, but I'll say it... If you are going to a #NoKings rally this weekend, dress as USA as you can. Bring a flag, red white and blue signs, etc. They are trying to frame it as a Hate America rally when we are literally trying to save America. Look the part!

One thing I think is true, and gives me a teaspoon of hope... That Quantico circus event probably steeled the resolve of most of the brass to dig in and try to weather the storm and protect the republic from the psycho clowns in charge.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

In my 20s, did tiny bit of work on the set of the movie "Boys" starring Winona Ryder. At the time she was dating the Soul Asylum dude. He and some even younger dude walked out of the house, looked at me and the group around me and said "Anyone got a cell phone?" He got one a walked into the woods.
Walked into an elevator with my kids. Tom Hanks was in it.
