Terry Hall, who was lead singer with The Specials died 3 years ago today. My introduction to 2 Tone came with "A Message to you Rudy", a brilliant single released in 1979 by The Specials. The original had been recorded by Dandy Livingstone in 1967; 'Rudy' was Jamaican slang for rude boy. #TerryHall

In 1937 a dual carriageway was built diagonally across Queen Square, in hopes of lessening Bristol’s traffic woes.
At its peak, 20,000 cars were driven across the park daily,
The road was closed in 1992 and all traces of the carriageway were removed by the end of the millennium.

It's all bad but hadn't seen the bit where Farage says:

"The European Union is the prototype for the New World Order."

That is a seriously, deeply problematic term that taps into Illuminati and antisemitic conspiracy theories.

How the fuck did this man direct the course of our politics?
We kept the receipts. These comments, taken together, paint a picture of the man he is today.

Never would have thought this would be so controversial but I said what I said.

It's all just a ploy to stop people who might join from coming over here and to stop views/opinions/content that gets traction on Bluesky from crossing over to other platforms and wider audiences.
