I implore my fellow Dems not to overthink this. You can just say - I’m against the government shooting people in the face for no good reason. This is not hard. Same with the ludicrous invasion of Greenland. Democrats are anti-invasion of Greenland bc it’s the dumbest thing ever. Be ruthlessly blunt.
New CNN polling:

Most Americans see an immigration officer’s fatal shooting of Renee Good as an inappropriate use of force. Roughly half view it as a sign of broader issues with the way ICE is operating, w/under 1/3 saying that ICE operations have made cities safer.

More evidence for the “POTUS is actually Stephen Miller in a skin suit” theory
ICE officers tell media that the conduct in Minneapolis is part of a plan by Stephen Miller to provoke as much violence and death as possible—which in turn will be taken as pretext for more. “They’re essentially operating now in a resource constraint-free environment and doing very dangerous things”
Former members of ICE say recent violence is "by design"
"What has changed is there has been an encouragement from the top to be much more aggressive in enforcement."

It's incredibly disturbing that the Trump administration (1) is not investigating the ICE shooter; (2) has refused to cooperate with any state-led investigation of the ICE shooter; but (3) aims to go hard after Renee Good's widow.
Last week, I looked into the record of the federal prosecutor in Minnesota who was leading the work on the Somali daycare fraud case.

He struck me as a straight shooter, not a partisan hack.

Well here's confirmation: He has quit after DOJ pressure to investigate Renee Good's widow. (#giftlink 🎁)

And honestly, I think in general this attack on my city shows a total lack of understanding the basic character of Minnesotans, underestimating our tenacity, stubbornness, resilience, communality, and absolute willingness to volunteer for shit and show up. The revolution has a Sign-Up Genius.
I'm at a coffee shop at the moment with a bunch of writer buds, and we just observed a large convoy of ICE vehicles pursued by a much larger convoy of volunteer observers honking their horns with wild abandon. If there's one thing Minnesotans do, it's show up for shit.

Democrats underestimate this at their own peril, and at the expense of every American.
Democrats need to realize ICE isn’t just—or even primarily—a mass deportation force.

ICE is also Trump’s most loyal internal security force which will be used to attack regime opponents and try to steal the election. They should defund his authoritarian capabilities.

Another day of hyper violent conduct by ICE agents, coupled with loads of acts of vandalism.
They don't seem to realize that the video of them abusing a legal observer is probably worse than whatever video the legal observer had already obtained of them.
New video shows ICE agents detaining a US citizen legal observer in Minneapolis.

The agents smashed his car window, dragged him out, and placed a knee on his neck.

He was just a guy - an American citizen - driving to the auto shop.

Where is the business community and corporate leaders of Minnesota based companies in speaking up? Why aren't the big law firms sending lawyers to represent the people being attacked?

We are not at the end of this authoritarianism, we are at the beginning. And, sadly, we are on our own.

Ordinary citizens are holding ICE accountable, while large law firms are doing nothing.

Small businesses are speaking out, while large corporations remain silent.

Independent media show moral urgency, while legacy media reports "both sides."

This is how they lose.

A YouGov poll the other day, amidst a major all-out admin push to vilify Renee Good, found that 14% of REPUBLICANS think Ross should be charged.

ICE is overplaying its hand. They will do tremendous harm in short-run, but hatred of them is starting to cross party lines.

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

But in a sense it's actually worse than a war crime, because there is no war. It's just a crime. It's a crime—murder—whether or not the aircraft can be identified as part of a military force.
