🚨BREAKING: STRIKERS WIN!
The order affirms what we’ve said all along: The PG’s lawless union-busting cannot stand. We made sure it didn’t. We’re taking back what they stole from us. We won this strike.

I don't understand why this isn't absolutely blowing up. A whole public library system shutting down branches to remove books because the Tennessee Secretary of State believes that Executive Orders are above the Constitution.
The Tennessee Secretary of State handed public library boards that are eager to ban LGBTQ+ books–and particularly trans books–from their collections the biggest permission slip last week.
Rutherford County is *closing* libraries to remove books.

This entire situation just SUCKS SO HARD and I Hate it.
Apparently there was a programmatic ad for ICE recruitment dropped into @pastduepodcast.com, the result of a big pod-forward push by the agency to reel in sub-optimally employed creatives, I guess? The official position of me, @mike-eagle.bsky.social and @andrewsteven.com remains Fuck ICE.

I do not let white men on screens tell me things.
This has probably lifted my baseline mental health by about 21%.

I really love this Vincent Van Gogh quote:
"To do good work one must eat well, be well housed, have one's fling from time to time, smoke one's pipe, and drink one's coffee in peace."
No romanticizing the starving artist. Van Gogh said UBI all the way.

now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.

Also, at one point, I lament: “There are ghosts who want to strangle me, but none who want to fuck me.”

2. The ruling is limited per the judge not believing they have power to go beyond the 5 institutions.
3. Jesus Christ, yall, my book might end up back on a shelf or two after being banned.
