If you think "authors shouldn't be political" you're straight up a dumbass with the mind of a child.
So apparently: "authors shouldn't be political," is doing the rounds again.

So let's go over this again.
• trans rights are human rights
• LGBTQ+ rights are human rights
• gay people deserve to marry and adopt
• Women's rights are humsn rights.
• Believe women
• black lives matter

For the bajillionth time:

Write WTF you want to write. If you want to get to “publishable” that is an additional layer of craft from “look, I made this.” This is true whatever genre you are writing in.

Sales are largely out of your control. Craft & hitting deadlines are all you control.

The bonds at his limbs throbbed around distending limbs. The room grew smaller, the single dying bulb a ghostly star. He smelled prey as pain spread and the chair broke like a collection of twigs.
Silent! He shouted inside his shrinking cage of agency. They have guns!

Everybody making over 3 million should be taxed from that up at a 50% rate. Only way to avoid that is credits obtained by paying workers living wage salaries. Every dime paid above a median, (say 60k) is a dime said millionaire can file to reduce their own taxes. Max 20k per worker to spread it out.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I don’t get what the problem is here. Casino Royale literally reset the character to a fresh recruit with his first kill, with Dame J Dench kept on as M from the Bronson years playing on his newbie status. Wiping the slate is well worn common practice here.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Progress on writing has been a bit slow of late, lots of family affairs taking precedence. Got a good 1500 words out yesterday though:)
