So this is gross - the Tories want to revoke Indefinite Leave to Remain for anyone whose income falls below the national full-time average, for any reason. First three bands of teachers and FIVE bands of nurses don't earn that, before we even think about healthcare assistants, carers and so on. 1/2

If annual income falls below £38,700 for six months (for any reason at all)
The Secretary of State would also have the powers add whatever further conditions they want.

I get that there are times when disputes over news coverage are a matter of emphasis or perspective on big, sprawling events, but it feels bad for public trust in a publication when it fails to accurately describe a video that’s 20 seconds long, and that everyone can see.

There’s a Mitchell and Webb sketch where it’s obviously a pisstake of S4C or some such where it’s like a 1970s craft programme in “Welsh” and it’s probably fairly offensive really but James Bachman plays gentle guitar throughout and gentle beige television with handicrafts and strumming would fix me
