Sinema missed 11 consecutive judicial confirmation votes before this vote

she really came back to work just to be on her bullshit and screw actual workers
BREAKING: Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have cast decisive votes against Biden's NLRB nominee. This means the Democrats will not secure control of the national labor regulator through 2026. These two Senators effectively handed Trump control of the board when his term begins.

We're really going to go full fascist, not because the country demanded it with any kind of electoral mandate, but because all of our institutions saw Trump win and made a considered decision to simply open the gates for him. Repulsive, shocking.

The FBI director was deliberately designed to have 10-year term structure separate from Presidential administrations to prevent blatant partisan meddling, people have just let Trump chew up and spit out what’s supposed to be one of the major institutional protections against weaponizing the FBI

To Jack Smith, Chris Wray, and anyone else thinking of just obeying in advance: STOP.

Our system depends on there being a political cost for breaking things. If Trump wants to fire the FBI Director or fire the Special Counsel prosecuting him, make him do it.

Stop doing his work for him!

gotta find a reason so the local news co-anchor doesn't say "kind of a mystery that this sort of thing is so rare" in the banter while transitioning to the next story
Kind of interesting on the news how no one is willing to really acknowledge the most 1-1 cause of the UHC shooter’s anger: struggling to get treatment for his chronic back pain. Instead everyone seems to be seeking other explanations for his radicalization, e.g. video games, that sound normal.

In reality conditions in America are so good that even most economic booms and downturns are difficult to detect on the ground. You need a Great Recession or pandemic for people to even notice the real world away from whatever their screens are telling them

Come on, isn't everyone's dad a well know diplomat who regularly had meals with foreign leaders? It's as relatable as everyone's father owning an emerald mine in an apartheid country.
