Trump's savvy decision to tank the economy could create more economic anxiety, which could help Republicans in the midterms.

There's little that shocks me anymore, but this is jaw dropping
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

Trump campaigned explicitly on these tariffs and it was obvious he would not be constrained in a second term like he was in his first. What did they expect?
CEOs speak up.

“.. This has been an exhausting year, I’d say, for most CEOs .. The level of executive time that’s been put in this has been enormous. So instead of focusing on innovation, they’re focusing on how they deal with the tariffs.”

Nothing you can do is ever good enough for our manbaby king. Praise him to the hilt, fail into line, and pledge absolute fealty. One shred of independent thought, and he'll turn on you instantly.

Remember the recent middle-of-the-night apartment building raid where children were dragged outside naked & zip-tied in the street while black & Latino residents were _sorted by race_ and piled into separate vans while their apartments were ransacked & robbed? That raid? So it resulted in 0 arrests.

The pollsters for the Sherrill, Spanberger, and Mamdani campaigns were women. So why are the only Democratic pollsters on this panel at this prominent event all men?

We can never "look forward, not backward" again
It’s the post 9-11 torture memos redux - except with those unpunished outrages as the baseline from which they now escalate to the next level of bogusly “justified” lawlessness.
The memo purportedly justifying these murders also contains a lengthy section that lays out arguments defending the actions of those carrying out the strikes. In short, it *preemptively* defends them from potential prosecution later.

Experts say this is unusual. 2/

Looking at these new visa criteria, I am pretty sure Trump would be denied one.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Interesting email here from Elisa New, Harvard professor and wife to Larry Summers, to Epstein, reflecting on Lolita.

One reason you need a public editor, representing the readers and their rights.
The question everyone is asking right now is this: NYT had deep access into all of this in real time and reported none of it. Why? In consequence, no NYT reporting on this subject is trustworthy.

One of the GOP's sweatier Epstein defenses has been "if they had good stuff they'd have used it when Biden was president." But the growing awareness that Garland spiked anything that could look political explains this!
I feel like “mad at Merrick Garland” is going to hit a whole new level.
