Upon learning how much I hated quiche, my sister LOVED to "bait" me into ranting against it. After she passed, I found audio on her computer where she secretly recorded me b/c she found it so funny.

Ugh, I miss her so dang much! Thanks to Maura for helping me relive these happy memories tonight.
fuck it, I've had a good run. the only good pie is quiche.

These two morons squawking incorrectly at each other is amazing. It's like watching my two cats debate astrophysics by licking their assholes.

Me, this morning, when people want to say anything critical about the Mariners re-signing Josh Naylor extension. I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over this sick music.

Death by Lightning is a fantastic miniseries. It was far more accurate than I expected going into it. I only wish they'd included the mysterious Julia Sand letters to Chester Arthur!

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

It's still wild to me how completely useless and worse Google made their Analytics software over the past two decades.

Their 2005 version was infinitely more useful than their 2025 version and it's not even close.

Mitch McConnel's singular political insight is that Presidents get punished for Congressional obstinancy and he used that insight to get the Right an unbreakable majority on the Supreme Court, so of course Chuck Schumer's iteration on it is to proactively let democrats take blame after tangible harm

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

Mamdani's celebration party is in downtown Brooklyn because this is what happens when a guy from Astoria gets cool: he starts making you ride the train for an hour to Brooklyn to hang out with him.

My voting precinct was PACKED today. I had to wait in a line for the first time I've ever lived here.

I've never been happier to wait and chat with neighbors.

19 out of 30 teams have played in the World Series during the past 20 years alone.

That's a lot of different winners and lot of different "Finals" teams.

I'd argue baseball has far more parity than their counterparts right now.
The purpose of a cap is to level the playing field. The NBA is your example. Lots of different winners, and lots of different Finals teams.

It doesn’t matter what I think. Also, none of this would ever happen. But if I had a zillion dollars:

1. Run a “we do hard things” campaign across southern and rust belt states. Invest heavily in local, state and regional social infrastructure. Sponser later hours at a library, build a skate park…
If I were to sum up my advice to the Democratic party leadership about how to defeat Trumpism, it would be to set aside policy for now and focus instead on articulating a vision of what American society should look like and what role the US should play in a rapidly changing world today.

Remember, they're currently arguing that Biden's pardons are illegitimate because he signed the actual forms with an autopen.

Trump, meanwhile, repeatedly insists he knows nothing at all about one of his very controversial pardons. Never heard of the guy!

Sorta seems like a problem.
O'DONNELL: Why did you pardon Changpeng Zhao?

TRUMP: Are you ready? I don't know who he is

O'DONNELL: His crypto exchange Binance helped facilitate a $2b purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And they you pardoned him.

TRUMP: Here's the thing -- I know nothing about it
