The way I see it, there are 4 paths
available to us:

1. Current course. Eventually the bond market will fucking revolt (sooner than you think) leaving us unable to borrow further, and the dollar is already rapidly depreciating on the world markets. The consumption & investment fall will be severe.
The US has a budget deficit near 6% of GDP, a trade deficit despite tariffs, a massively negative NIIP, we’re cutting rates despite inflation running above target, and the dollar just fell 10% in a year. We are flirting dangerously close to the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Memorial Neo-Fischerian Fun Zone.

The shift from "sir this is a Wendy's" to "just put the fries in the bag" indicates a cultural rightward shift; whereas the former is making fun of someone by implying they're a customer doing too much, the latter is making fun of someone by implying they're a *worker* & should know their place

I genuinely find this argument baffling. All these resource extraction industries have basically been automated, I do not see why the remaining rural folks should get credit for owning the land containing resources

I remember people saying Gen Alpha would grow up as digital natives and be so much more tech savvy than anybody else, except we’ve made computers so glossy and functional that they don’t need to poke around under the hood because for the most part it just works.

Just gonna say this again for games sphere cus we get the same question:

Networking doesn't mean schmoozing up to famous people, it means making friends with your peers. Then in 10 years, 20, one of you might be famous? And sure you're still helping each other cus well yeah friends.

Make. Friends.
Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.
They have come to the convention hoping to "break in" and then find themselves -- shocker! -- a "nobody in the book world." Yeah no shit! We all are! I have gently told guys like this a million times that it takes most of us *years* of hard work but they do not believe that could be true for them. +

Liberalism is the soil from which socialism springs, socialism is the full realization of the liberal promise
Anyway, liberalism and socialism are not enemies, and to the extent that you insist that they are, you are clinging to Ego. You have failed to apprehend the true meaning of "Form is Emptiness. Emptiness is Form." I will now give you a firm thwack with the keisaku.

It was bold of Bluey to be pretty clear that both of Bluey’s parents are still super horny for each other. I think that’s why parents like the show so much, they’re like…oh yea

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

(15 in Manhattan btw)
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

Welcome to Waterfox, friends.

Just drag and drop your Firefox profile into "%APPDATA%\Waterfox\profiles\[RandomLettersRandomNumbers]" and continue where you left off. Windows key+R to open the 'run' dialog box to get there faster.

Librewolf is the same process. Similar structure. Somewhat faster.

my everyday speech is still sprinkled with lines from chappelle’s show, tbh
the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"
