Weird to go to bed reading about the Brown shooting. Waking up to news about the Bondi Beach shooting and to be heading to bed reading that Rob Reiner and his wife were apparently stabbed to death.

I hope everyone affected finds some kind of peace.

speaking as a virginia beach native if these kind of dudes are plotting against ICE then there is wide runway in public opinion for straight up abolishing the agency under a dem presidency
Kempsville High School assistant principal charged for threats against police, ICE
Virginia Beach assistant principal John Bennett and Mark Bennett charged for conspiring threats against police and ICE agents. Both are held without bond.

Zohran really crushed the Democratic establishment and neutered Trump and right-wing attacks against him less than a year after polling at 1%.

A truly remarkable political talent.

Worth reiterating: Zohran Mamdani acknowledged and denounced Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people while standing in the White House on live television right next to the President.

Fuck centrist Dems.
The Democrats will accept Marjorie Taylor Greene into the tent before they accept Zohran Mamdani.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Zohran Mamdani wins big nation-wide support: Dems sleep.

MTG stops being racist for two minutes in an obvious ploy: Dems gush over her.

Never have I been more done with this country not having a proper opposition party.

Good morning.

This is your reminder to get to the gym so that you can beat up racists if you have to.

NEW — Rashida Tlaib and 20 other members of Congress have introduced a resolution to officially recognize Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people.

It notes that between 10/23 and 11/25, the US sent $21,700,000,000 in military aid to Israel and authorized $30,000,000,000+ in new weapons deals.

Watch how her demeanor changes as soon as he puts his hand on her back.

Why the fuck do men think that they can just touch women like that?
REPORTER: Why'd it take so long to get sworn in?

GRIJALVA: *gestures at Johnson* That would not be my question!

MIKE JOHNSON: Look, I really like this lady

I have never been more ashamed to be a democrat. Voting with Republicans to end the shut down without obtaining any tangible concession on the ACA subsidies is beyond shameful.. all incumbent senators and congressman need to be voted out of office in the 2026 midterms. They’re all corrupt.

I swear to god Warnock and Ossoff will find Georgia a very prickly place if they flip on this for nothing.
Ossoff especially needs strong Dem base support next year. Unmotivated Dems on the ground sunk Harris here.
Ossoff voting for the Riley act already has him on thin ice with many strong Dems.
2/ The Senators who want to vote yes on basically any terms appear to be shaheen, Hassan, king and Fetterman. Slightly less clear but I think pushing that way are Peters and Durbin. You’ll note that four of these six are retiring. Others who seem on the fence include the two sens from Georgia and …

Watching Mamdani's victory speech, I'm struck by his—and his campaign's—unabashed vision of the US as an immigrant society, a culture built from the ground up from diversity. It is a complete rejection and reversal of the search for a white-washed homogeneity that the political right projects.

“Living in the shadows” - you eloquently stated what I as a brown Muslim woman have been quietly enduring for decades… it’s been suffocating.

No more.
The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.

And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.

No more.
My Message to Muslim New Yorkers — and Everyone Who Calls This City Home.
