I'm truly terrible at posting on social media... So here is me appearing briefly to mention my most recent newsletter post, a review of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab (which was absolutely amazing), before disappearing into the void once more: buttondown.com/SHSenhaji/ar...

I still need to write this a real review, but this was my favourite read of 2024! It is SO funny and charming, I love the romance, the awfulness of the horrible little gremlin MC, the gardening, the questing, and especially the godly pantheon and surrounding religion. HIGHLY recommend. It's lovely.
YIELD UNDER GREAT PERSUASION has been out for six months! If you are looking for a cozy, queer romantasy that will make you cry and hug your tired, bruised heart, this is the book for you!

Just got to look at a near-final proof of the printed version of Love Letters: Reasons to Be Alive Issue #1. It goes out to backers at the end of Q1. What an absolutely glorious mail day that will be 🥰

I read this the same day as I read @older.bsky.social's The Imposition of Unnecessary Obstacles, and that was a *fantastic* afternoon, so I highly recommend it. Also, I have just preordered the sequel to this -- A Drop of Corruption. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Oops! Forgot to post last week's newsletter post on here. I'm probably not great at using social media... That's why I've chosen to write a newsletter instead, I guess 😆

In which I talk about agency, hope, and Batman: Wayne Family Adventures

I finished _Glass Houses_ by @madelineashby.bsky.social last night, and _The Mimicking of Known Successes_ by @older.bsky.social this afternoon.

Very good SF mysteries both, but the protagonists couldn't be more different, and I have to admit that after Glass Houses, I needed a change.

Hello Blue Sky: I post about politics a lot, but it is instrumental to understanding my tweets that I write romance novels.

I write romance novels because I understand that hope is not a passive thing: it is an active practice that must be cultivated over time.
