I love guys who are just blithely confident in their ignorance, they read like one statement on a tankie forum four years ago and now they think they know everything about one of the most involved conflicts in human history.
The US never fought to end fascism anywhere. They joined the war because Japan forced their hand, and they saw a great way to make money. After the USSR pretty much had pushed Germany out of eastern Europe and they knew the nazis were going to lose, they jumped in.

As a heads up this is disinfo. The rifle used is suspected to have been a 30.06. Turan (the company that makes the pictured bullet) only makes up to 5.56 rifle caliber rounds. So unless the feds are wrong about the caliber of the rifle they found (unlikely) this can't be an explanation.

It's not even just left anti-communism; it's left stupid ultra-pacifism. You can have violent defense of the people as an anarchist; the whole thrust of anarchism in this is that it shouldn't be an entrenched, separate class that gets extra perks. That is entirely viable and within anarchism still.
