1. Off-hand in front — asking to get it lopped off
2. Moves body before arms on attack
3. Brings hands back before thrust — huge opposing tempo
4. Lacks extension on thrust
5. Jabs with thrust instead of thrusting through opponent
Most beginners I teach fix these quickly

If Mass Effect 3 had ended with “congratulations Shepard for defeating the Reapers, here are a slideshow of how your choices affected things, stay tuned for ME4!” instead of what we got, then we’d be on Mass Effect 8 and Season 3 of a moderately received TV show by now

I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.
By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"

the Warrior trilogy alone would be great, but I think the real move is to follow a mercenary company, one contract per season. they get the contract, have some cool robot fights, deal with corrupt nobles, then jet to the next one.
really cannot emphasize enough that the streaming model has failed us all by not giving us a prestige court-politics battletech drama series
